International Hotel Group “Holiday Inn” now in #Kochi

a JV with Indroyal Group #kerala is how Holiday Inn got its entry to #Kerala. With the scheduled opening to be on May 15th 2011,looks like we have a new value to hospitality arena of Kerala.The site looks promising from its exterior & interior and no doubt the group comes with an International footprint ensuring the property to be a sure “Killer-stuff”.

I had the pleasure of dropping by the property,official stuff but I did take the liberty to click a few pictures that’s what I have posted here.The hotel Lobby had a freshness factor,something not experienced in any of its Local counterparts. The place is not open for business yet but there’s been a lot of activity going on inside the hotel,pre-launch preparations I guess !

I am personally looking forward to see another Gem coming up in Kochi ! In coming day’s if I get more details about the property,you will be seeing them here …You can follow them on facebook here.

Rise of Social Media #marketing is not the end of Traditional #Media

Social Media Marketing is more than just Fan pages & even Internet:
The term Social Media Marketing seems to be over used these days, there has been people who say its a “fad” , reports on how social media does not really works magic with the consumer behaviour or buying patterns. But all these, reports & talks came cos social media could very well sow seeds of ”the end” for traditional media & marketing practises. Now, that’s what they say!
But forget social networking sites, the term ”Social” is more than just facebook, twitter or even Internet. The biggest & most successful stories of success people & business have this activity “social” much more important than anything. Let’s look back at social networks & consumer purchasing terms before facebook or any networking sites.”Amway” “Oriflame” “Tupperware”…are companies that have risen & creates successful stories out of a “garage”. How ? Social networking and that’s all it’s been for these companies & the million lives it has touched.
Now Social media marketing needn’t necessarily end the dominance of traditional media tools as it is predicted. Every platform that get’s a user time is & always will be worth in terms of marketing campaigns & trust me it’s not the end of traditional media.
Social media has been evolving into something very powerful, but this happen only by integrating it with traditional media.

Often people have mistaken about social media being all about fan pages & followers but the fact it’s more than just that.very few brands have understood the art of Integrating their traditional marketing tools with social media. Integrated marketing is about having a uniform approach to all your marketing collateral/property offline & online.

Gokulam Park Inn:Hospitality Refined…

logoMy work involves meeting a lot of people and sharing my concept of how hospitality and retail business is evolving itself as we move forward. I have a very steadily rising client list and that means a lot of stories to share;good and bad.I would like to just share experiences about one my best client relationship i share,the team at Gokulam Park Inn,kaloor.

Being a Sarovar Portico has its tag may be,but what i truly adore is how the staff,each on of them has hotelunderstood the word meaning of Hospitality to its very core. From the GM to staff at the lowest level the way they treat you is really something we don’t find everywhere.Noe you might be thinking that all-star rated hotels have good guest relationships.yes,i agree but then being in hospitality business is not just about how you treat your guest alone,its more than that. Very a less people understand that;its like what our great Mahatma Gandhi had quoted that the real character of a person can be judged only by the way they behave to their subordinates or people below them in terms of class. Now i am not sure if that’s the exact quote but then we are all humans and we all value respect from people wherever we go.

May be you’re the guest,may be you are not,may be you came to do business,may be you came for an inquiry at the end of the day,hospitality is a business where you are supposed to treat everyone equals. From my very experience i have seen how people treat when it comes to a stand where we are not their guest. And believe me i have seen the worst scenarios too.

The bottom line is,in real terms Gokulam Park Inn and its team truly stands apart when it comes to beingcordial, professional in all regards.In my experience so far with lot of hospitality clients i have i would rate this as the best so far ! A big Kudos to the GM & the entire team !And of course Sarovar hotels & resorts.

Trivandrum Talkies Part 1

I have been to Trivandrum a couple of times but this time I stayed for 3 days and was on the look out to find out some really cool hangouts here in the city. They Trivandrum is like no where in terms of entertainment or social activity,I hoped that I myself would not end up with the same opinion and to an extent so far its been convincing for me that its not all that gloomy here.

Well  @shrutikutu too joined me in this effort,My main agenda was  to get tie-ups for @smiley_card since we’re launching it here next week. Anyway,I just thought I will pen down my last two days,God ! what am I saying..I meant blog down..LOL

Now I love Biriyani and ever since i have come to Trivandrum I never had the privilege of having a good one until I found this new place called Flavors @ Thycaad. And I have fallen in love with this place for they serve really yummy food there.Trust me everyone should try the Biriyani & Appam-Stew combination…. really hot stuff.

Now the menu has some really exotic selections,even though the pricing might look little hefty,@smiley_card gets you 10 % discount there.But anyway what I would say is,Pricing is not a pinch since quality and quantity wise its too good.And the ambiance is simply cute and cosy,you can see a formal review here.

Next place I found is Purple Lounge,the only dedicated pub in Trivandrum and I must say the place is simply awesome and pricing wise is really cool. I have written a formal review in TrivandrumBuzz.com.

Its the first place I fell in love once I got to Trivandrum and been there a lot of times. And now its one of my clients,which makes it more interesting.
